Application for second-cycle studies has started

On January 8, 2025, enrollment for second-cycle studies opened at Warsaw University of Technology.

In mid-January, the ranking list no. 8 for the Weave-UNISONO competition was announced. Included on the list was the project titled "Hybrid crystalline-amorphous bioabsorbable composites - the breakthrough for medical devices," led by Prof. Wojciech Święszkowski.

The revitalized appearance of the iconic Warsaw palm tree is, in part, the result of work by a team from WUT's Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering in collaboration with the Lubas company. Our specialists were responsible for designing and crafting the new leaves.

The Joint 17th Conference on Rapidly Quenched and Metastable Materials (RQ 17) and 27th International Symposium on Metastable, Amorphous and Nanostructured Materials (ISMANAM 27) was organised at Warsaw University of Technology from 20th to 25th August 2023. It was excellent opportunity to share news and ideas on fundamental and applied research in the field of metallic glasses and other amorphous materials, nanocrystalline materials, other metastable materials, their processing, structure, properties and applications.

WUT researchers involved in the study of Jupiter

This is one of the most notable space projects of recent months. JUICE is an unmanned spacecraft designed to provide information about Jupiter and its moons. The project involves Polish companies, universities and institutions, including the Warsaw University of Technology.

Library training for 1st year students

The library training for the 1st year students is conducted in an electronic way on the WUT Moodle platform. The Library Training Course will be available: March 25 - April 11, 2023  (for all students who study in English as the language of instruction).

Nobel Prize winner visits Warsaw University of Technology

Our University welcomed Prof. M. Stanley Whittingham – winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He received an honorary doctorate from the Warsaw University of Technology, and also met with representatives of the University of Technology and gave an open lecture.

The deadline to create a new application is on 12 December 2022 and 18 January 2023 is the last day to upload the Admission Documents (formal documents).

WUT Christmas Market 2022 is just around the corner!

It has already become a tradition that at the beginning of December in front of the Main Building there are wooden chalets with Christmas specialties. The same is going to happen this year. Everyone is welcome from 1 to 3 December at 10.00-18.00. 

FEMS Masters Thesis Award

The FEMS Masters Thesis award is intended to recognize the best Masters Thesis on Materials Science and Engineering, presented in any Academic Institution from the country of any FEMS member Society. FEMS Member Societies may nominate one candidate per year.
