WUT Christmas Market 2025

Christmas is coming! For years, we can’t imagine this season without the festive booths set up in the square in front of our Main Building. See you on 4 and 5 December, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The history of our Christmas Market began in 2015. We started with great enthusiasm, though modestly. From the very beginning, we focused on the charitable aspect — collecting donations in special tins for the Christmas Grant, an award for students of our University. In exchange for a donation, visitors could receive a small gift — a WUT gadget. And then, year after year, the Market kept growing: more booths, longer opening hours, more ideas, more gadgets, more festive atmosphere, more music, more attractions… We paused only once — in 2020 the Market did not take place due to the pandemic. But the idea came back even stronger in 2021 — that was when, for the first time during the Market, we announced the Grant laureates and presented the first-ever Christmas illumination of the Main Building.

Altogether, during the nine editions so far, we have collected over 260,000 PLN — all these funds have already been or will soon be awarded to our talented, dedicated, high-achieving students and doctoral candidates.

What awaits us at the jubilee Christmas Market this year? In the WUT booth you will traditionally find University-themed gadgets, including hoodies, T-shirts, winter hats, baseball caps, mugs, cups, our iconic socks, ornaments shaped like the Main Building, as well as tote bags and waist bags made from upcycled promotional materials (such as banners, roll-ups or backdrops). There will also be a new series of honey from our university apiary, plus chocolates and gingerbread. Among the gadgets, there will be special items celebrating WUT’s 200th anniversary. Donations are accepted in cash only (the nearest ATM is located in the Main Building hall).

Besides the WUT booth, there will be many more — more than in recent years — to enhance the festive spirit even further. You’ll be able to buy cheese, cakes, bread, teas, healthy snacks, candles, handmade bags and scarves, oil paintings, watercolours, jewellery made from natural stones, and Christmas decorations and ornaments.

The first day of the Market, 4 December, will be filled with special moments. At 12:00 p.m., we will gather in front of the Main Building: we will announce the winners of this year’s Christmas Grant and present their awards, hand out Christmas trees to WUT faculties, and reveal an all-new Christmas illumination of the Main Building.

Admission to the WUT Christmas Market is free. We warmly encourage everyone to join us and help create a truly unique atmosphere. This year, we’re celebrating twice — not only the Market itself, but also the 200th anniversary of the Warsaw University of Technology.
