Scientific activities

My scientific interests are related to the development of pulsed methods of Plasma Surface Engineering (research on power sources and plasmas, plasma process control, supporting plasmochemical processes) in order to synthesize layers of materials with specific functional properties, in particular non-equilibrium phases of oxides, nitrides, carbides, carbon layers, etc. The techniques I use are various versions of magnetron sputtering, the characteristics of which are primarily the result of my original developments.

My current research involves fabricating high-quality carbon layers, nanoparticle matrix composite layers, and high-temperature magnetic target sputtering. I am particularly interested in the produced materials' photocatalytic, optical, electronic, and magnetic properties.

I realize topics for engineering and master theses in the field of my team's current activity.
