The team conducts research on the production of nickel, nickel-phosphorus, and nickel-based composite coatings using electrochemical and chemical methods, as well as oxide coatings produced by plasma electrochemical oxidation on titanium and aluminum alloys, including 3D methods.

The team also performs thermochemical treatments of metallic materials under glow discharge conditions (nitriding, carbonitriding, oxynitriding) and produces coatings using RFPACVD and MWPACVD methods.

Research offer

  • Surface treatments of materials in low-temperature plasma, including hybrid processes – selecting technological conditions to increase the durability and reliability of processed materials used in various industries;
  • Production of coatings: electrolytic (nickel, copper), deposited by chemical reduction (nickel-phosphorus and zinc), and conversion (phosphate, electrochemical anodic oxidation and plasma electrolytic oxidation);
  • Studies of the structure, phase and chemical composition (SEM, TEM, MO, XRD, EDS), surface morphology and topography (AFM, optical profilometer) of produced surface layers;
  • Studies of the properties of produced materials, including: Tribological properties, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, adhesion, and wettability;
  • Design modifications of devices in the context of developing new technological processes.
