On September 17-18, the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology hosted the second of three scheduled meetings of the international BioCAN project consortium – „Development of bio-based polymers with covalently adaptable networks for recyclable natural fibre reinforced composite production.” Representatives of all institutions and companies involved in the project attended the meeting.
From September 14 to 17, 2026, Warsaw University of Technology hosted the EMRS Fall Meeting for the 24th time, bringing together materials scientists from around the world. The international conference, organized by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), attracted more than 1,300 scientists from 56 countries this year.
The 12th Conference on Modification, Degradation, and Stabilization of Polymers (MoDeSt 2026) was held in Lyon, France, from August 31 to September 3, 2026. The international conference brought together researchers working on the modification, degradation, and stabilization of polymer materials. Kamila Salasińska, professor at Warsaw University of Technology, participated in the conference and delivered a presentation entitled „Sustainable flame retardant system with thermally modified plant waste for engineering plastics”.
