WUT Faculty of Materials Science forges partnership with Kcarbon institute

The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) has established a formal cooperation agreement with the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency (Kcarbon) – a specialized research institution focusing on advanced carbon materials, particularly composites and polymer-based nanomaterials.

The agreement between the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, WUT, and Kcarbon outlines collaborative initiatives to advance the carbon composites industry, with both institutions committing to:

  • Joint R&D Projects: Facilitating scientific collaborations between Polish and Korean entities
  • Technology Investment Advisory: Providing cross-border education and consultancy
  • Academic Exchange Programs: Enabling researcher mobility between institutions

The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Weon Jae Ryu on behalf of the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency and Professor Anna Boczkowska, Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology.

This partnership represents a strategic milestone in strengthening academic ties between Poland and South Korea. Collaborative efforts will accelerate knowledge transfer, drive innovation in material technologies, and develop specialized expertise in advanced carbon composites.
