Innovative composite materials for use in road transport.

Akronym: PAGED
No: POIR.01.01.01-00-0782/19
Program: Konkurs 4/1.1.1/2019 - Szybka ścieżka Tworzywa sztuczne
Financing unit: NCBR
Project leader: prof. dr hab. inż. Anna Boczkowska
Function: konsorcjant
Timeframe: 2020-2022

The aim of the project is to increase the level of innovation of Paged through the implementation of industrial research and experimental development by Paged LabTech and  Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering WUT as part of a consortium and preparation for the implementation of their results. The project involves the development of innovations in the area of transport with increased utility parameters with particular emphasis on the development of plywood (and production technology) with reduced weight, meeting the high performance requirements of the transport industry. As part of the development research, it is planned to modify the glue mass, use exotic wood or introduce a reinforcement in the form of a polymer composite into the plywood structure in place of several layers of veneer. Such actions will reduce the thickness of the plywood and reduce weight while maintaining the desired mechanical and functional properties.
